Rubbish dumping

Rubbish dumping

Rubbish is a big thing in our community, but no one really does anything about it

The rubbish we find on the ground consists of plastic, paper and other common things.
The issue we have with these being left on the beaches is that it makes it look dirty.
It ruins the beautiful scenery we find at the beach. The other issue is that it affects marine life.
Have you seen all the photos of dolphins with plastic wrapped around their fins or of turtles with their
stomachs full of plastic bags?
This is the reality of dumping rubbish. The animals are dying from eating the plastic and other rubbish.

The thing to resolve the problem would be to install and continue to empty rubbish bins around the
beaches.
This is because there are hardly any maintained rubbish bins, especially near my home in Kakanui.
A beach that I visit often has little scattered all over it. Another thing I have noticed at this beach is
that there are no rubbish bins. This would improve the lives of the marine animals and the scenery
because everyone would be putting their rubbish into the bins rather than onto the beach.
