Last week was the year 8 EOTC week, because of covid-19 we couldn't have a proper overnight camp week so we just did day trips instead. On monday we went for a 30k bike ride to the fort in enfield, we stopped at the gardens for morning tea and then had lunch at the fort. On tuesday we left on a bus at 8:45am and headed to the orokonui ecosanctuary at blueskin bay. When we got there we had morning tea and then did some activities with the instructors, had lunch and went for a 2.5k walk through the ecosanctuary. We even got to see the tallest tree in new zealand! On wednesday we left school on the bus at 7:30 and went to geraldine high school. When we got there we did some of the high ropes course and it was super fun! We then had lunch and then got back it the bus and drove to peel forest which was only 20 minutes from the high school. When we got there we did an hour and 1/2 of orienteering and headed back home in the bus. On thursday we went to school at normal time and from 9:30-11:00 am I chose to go rock climbing and then after it I did an amazing race. On friday we had a easy day were we watched movies, played board games, did kahoots and p.e routations. Camp week was a super fun week and im super happy that we didn't miss out on a camp!
